‌Multiple Interpretations

Sometimes your statements can be reasonably interpreted more than one possible way—a problem typical for people too. Suppose we've entered

define "aloha" means say "hello". define "aloha" means say "goodbye".

Now we enter aloha. Synthia responds:

interpretation 1: aloha

interpretation 2: aloha

I can take this several different ways.

You can ask Synthia to use and run one or the other of the interpretations by saying interpretation 1 or interpretation 2 ; interp 1 or interp 2 for short. Here, the difference is in the rule used, and Synthia doesn't yet sort through all the relevant information to present a minimal description of the difference between the two interpretations. In more complex cases, grouping information is shown that can help differentiate the two interpretations. Using quotes (or parentheses, especially for math functions) may help pin down what you mean.
