Support of Anamorphic Distance in SynthEyes
SynthEyes does contain many additional algorithms in addition to solving, for things like tracker cleanup, dropping onto meshes, etc. In most cases those algorithms have been modified to accommodate the anamorphic distance, though some have not.
Here are a few notes on how anamorphic distance is handled:
Tracker positions and mesh display in the camera view is compensated for the anamorphic distance.
The perspective view is NOT compensated ; when an anamorphic distance is present, the shot won’t line up in the perspective view. We may address tracker and mesh locations in the perspective view in \ future SynthEyes versions, in the same way exporters do.
The ViewShift subsystem, 3-D planar tracking, and motion capture camera processing do not support an anamorphic distance.
The initial seeding process of solving does not support a nonzero anamorphic distance; it would be too early to solve for it, and any solve will be optimized further anyway.
