Set up the Scene
Run the Script/Lens/Grid Calibration Setup script. It will assign tracker names based on the grid coordinates, then use those grid coordinates to set up position locks for those trackers. Be sure the tracker grid extends all the way to the edges of the image.
Using the 3-D panel spinner, reposition the camera along the Y (Z-up) or Z (Y-Up) axis to roughly correspond to the distance between the camera and the grid during the shoot.
Tip: The camera-to-grid distance and grid width (of the active portion) care excellent things to record during the grid shoot!
Set the field of view of the camera to a decent estimate of the field of view. This can be computed from the width of the grid and the camera-grid distance; 2*atan(0.5*gridwidth / distance), if you’ve saved those measurement as instructed.
