BVH Reference Import
The BVH Reference import is designed to read a file containing only one frame, which defines the basic reference-position pivot locations of every joint in the hierarchy. The imported hierarchy can then be parented to the basic mesh, again in the reference position, to set up a hierarchy. See Importing Hierarchy in this manual for additional information.
You'll have the option to select whether you want to read the file with Y up or Z up. We've seen definitive statements that each of these options is the correct one, so you'll have to judge.
You can also scale the hierarchy as you import it, though if you do so you'll likely need to scale the reference mesh accordingly (from the 3D panel).
There's no use for "end site" data in SynthEyes; it is stored away so that it can be regurgitated by the BVH export, but isn't otherwise used.
If you do happen to read a file containing more than one frame, the extra files will just be ignored.
