Right-Side Controls
Save. Button. Clicking this brings up the File/Export/Plain Text/Preferences as Script exporter, which writes a Sizzle script that can restore your same preferences on this machine or another machine. Use Script/Run Script to run the exported script at a later time. Read the description above and the tooltips of the script's controls for more details.
Search. Button and (search text) field. Scrolls through the preferences, looking at both the preference name and their tooltips for the search text. Matches are shown at the top of the list. Right-click to search backwards. Matching is exact but case- independent.
UI Language. Drop-down. Selects one of the available XML language translation files from the user and system script folders. Takes effect only when SynthEyes starts. When blank (by default), no modifications are applied.
Translate menus. When checked (and after restart), translated menus will be shown.
Note that menus provide much less translation context than tooltips, and therefore the translations are less likely to be accurate or useful.
Translate script names. When checked (and after restart), the system script names will also be translated. These will typically translate less well than menus or tooltips.
Translate much of the user interface. When checked (and after restart), the main user interface will be translated to the language selected above. Caveats above concerning machine translations apply, plus the additional consideration that if the selected translations take more space than English, they will not fit.
Consequently this option can only be used with space-efficient languages.
UI Colors. (Drop-down and color swatch) Change the color of many user-interface elements. Select an element with the drop-down menu, see the current color on
the swatch, and click the swatch to bring up a dialog box that lets you change the color. Right-click the swatch to set the current color back to its factory default.
Shift-right-click the swatch to set all colors back to their factory defaults.
Default Sensor Width. Width of the camera’s active image plane, such as the film or imaging chip.
Sensor Units. Shows in for inches or mm for millimeters, click it to change the display units for this panel, and the default for the shot setup panel.
Post-solve sound [hurrah]. Button. Shows the name of the sound to be played after long calculations.
Default Export Type. Selects the export file type to be created by default.
