Where are the plugins located in my editing app?
In Final Cut Pro, GarageBand, and Logic (and other AU plugin host apps): Go to the Effects Browser and find your plugins here: Audio Effects > AU > CrumplePop Complete. In Premiere, Audition, Audacity, and DaVinci Resolve (and other VST3 plugin host apps): Go to the Effects Browser and find your plugins here: Audio Effects > VST3 > Restoration > CrumplePop Complete. Note: If are using Adobe Premiere Pro or Audition you will need to use the Audio Plugin manager to “scan” in your audio plugins before they appear in the Effects Browser. To do this go to Preferences>Audio>Audio Plugin Manager and press the “scan” button. Make sure the plugins are enabled. Then you can search “CrumplePop Complete” in the Effects Browser to find your plugins. In Media Composer and Pro Tools: you’ll find the plugins available in the AudioSuite menu. In Pro Tools, most of the plugins are available in AudioSuite>Noise Reduction.
My CrumplePop plugins are not appearing in Adobe Premiere or Audition.
If are using Adobe Premiere Pro or Audition you will need to use the Audio Plugin manager to “scan” in your audio plugins before they appear in the Effects Browser. To do this go to Preferences>Audio>Audio Plugin Manager and press the “scan” button. Make sure the plugins are enabled. Then you can search “CrumplePop Complete” in the Effects Browser to find your plugins.
My CrumplePop plugins are not appearing in DaVinci Resolve.
Open DaVinci Resolve and wait a few moments on the Project Browser screen. Resolve should automatically scan for audio plugins, and after opening your project, they will appear in the Effect Browser here: Audio Effects > VST3 > Restoration > CrumplePop Complete If that does not work, then go to Prefrences>Audio Plugins and be sure the CrumplePop audio plugins you are attempting to use are added and enabled in the Available Plugins menu.
My plugin has become disabled in FCP. What do I do now?
In Final Cut Pro, go to Preferences>General and click the Audio Units: “Validate on Next Launch” button. Then restart Final Cut Pro and your plugins will be functional again. To prevent this issue in the future, try using fewer instances of a CrumplePop audio plugins on your timeline. You can use a compound clip to place many clip segments into one clip, then only use CrumplePop audio plugins on that compound clip to make processing more smooth.
I have CrumplePop installed, but Voice Enhance is missing?
If you purchased on
crumplepop.com and are using the CrumplePop app, your plugins will continue to work.
However, to receive all future updates and new plugins, you’ll need to migrate your account from
crumplepop.com to
borisfx.com. Luckily, this is an easy process that should only take about two minutes. Simply go to
https://borisfx.com/account/crumplepop and complete the migration process. At the end of the process, you’ll receive a activation key and a Boris FX Hub app installer. Install and Open the Hub app, then sign in. Click the gear icon in the left corner by your email address and select License activation. There you can enter the activation key from your receipt email.
Your account will continue exactly as it would have on
crumplepop.com with no interruptions.
Do you support Apple silicon (M1, M2) Mac computers?
Yes. We fully support all silicon Mac hardware and all CrumplePop plugins run natively on Apple silicon. Note: SoundApp does not yet run natively on Apple silicon. To use SoundApp, you will need to have Rosetta 2 installed on your Mac. We’re working on silicon support for SoundApp and it will be available soon.
Do CrumplePop plugins work on Windows?
Yes. Our plugins work in Windows host apps that support VST3 and AAX plugin format. This includes Adobe Premiere, Adobe Audition, Audacity, Avid Media Composer, Pro Tools, DaVinci Resolve, Reaper, and many more apps. Windows users can also use SoundApp as a standalone app version of our tools.
What is CrumplePop Complete?
CrumplePop Complete is a complete suite of all CrumplePop audio plugins. It also includes CrumplePop SoundApp, a simple standalone app for users who would prefer not to use plugins. CrumplePop Complete is available as a monthly or yearly subscription or a perpetual license. All plugins and apps in CrumplePop complete are managed with the CrumplePop app, so everything is always up to date.
What is CrumplePop and how does it work?
CrumplePop is a complete set of software tools that use AI to make your audio sound great. CrumplePop includes tools for removing room noise, echo, wind noise, automatically improving voice quality, and more. CrumplePop audio tools are simple enough for beginners to use, but they are also very powerful and are used by demanding audio professionals every day.
Why should I use CrumplePop instead of other plugins?
CrumplePop is both easier to use and delivers better quality audio than other audio tools. Unlike other audio plugins, CrumplePop doesn’t try to fix every audio problem with a single tool. Instead, CrumplePop contains a range of tools that target different problem noise types individually. The result is polished, professional audio for busy video and podcast editors.
Is CrumplePop compatible with my editing application?
CrumplePop works with most major audio and video editing applications, including Premiere Pro, Audition, Final Cut Pro, Avid, Pro Tools, GarageBand, Logic, Audacity, DaVinci Resolve, and more. CrumplePop plugins are available in both AU, AAX, and VST plugins formats. If you don’t use plugins at all, you can still use CrumplePop with a simple standalone application that’s included when you download. CrumplePop works on both Windows and Mac.
How do I cancel my CrumplePop Complete subscription?
If you purchased on
crumplepop.com:
Sign in to the account (links to crumplepop.com/my-account) you use for your subscription. Go to the “Manage Payment” section. Then click the cancel button at the end of the row that contains your payment information. Then click confirm if you wish to cancel. After canceling, you can use your plugins until your renewal date, but the plugins will revert to trial mode after that.
If you purchased on
borisfx.com:
Sign in to the account (links to Boris FX account login pop up) you use for your subscription. Go to the “Licenses” tab where you’ll find the option to ‘Cancel Subscription’. By choosing this, you’ll stop any future charges to your account.
Where can I find my invoice?
If you purchased on
crumplepop.com:
Sign in to the account you use for your subscription (links to
crumplepop.com/my-account). To view your invoice, simply go to the “Payment History” section and click “see invoice”.
If you purchased on
borisfx.com:
Sign in to the account you use for your subscription (links to Boris FX account login pop up). To view your invoice, simply go to the “Orders” section and click “download invoice”.
How do I access the plugins after purchasing?
Download the Boris FX Hub. Open the Hub and sign in. Click the gear icon in the left corner by your email address and select License activation. There you can enterthe Activation Key from your receipt email. After you enter the activation key, any CrumplePop plugins you have installed will be unlocked, with no beeping sound. You will find the plugins in your host app of choice by searching “CrumplePop” in the Audio Effects browser. Note: If are using Adobe Premiere Pro or Audition you will need to use the Audio Plugin manager to “scan” in your audio plugins before they appear in the Effects Browser. To do this go to Preferences>Audio>Audio Plugin Manager and press the “scan” button. Make sure the plugins are enabled. Then you can search “CrumplePop Complete” in the Effects Browser to find your plugins.
Where should I apply CrumplePop Voice Enhance in my effects chain?
We generally recommend that you use Voice Enhance all by itself as it can handle a wide variety of noise and echo by itself. However if you have a specific or difficult type of noise in your clip then apply another CrumplePop plugin before Voice Enhance in the effects chain.
